Including the finding that, King\u2019s is culpable for the harms survivors incurred by Dr. Hankey exploitation of his position at King\u2019s. Further the Rubin Report recommended compensation and out of court settlements to the survivors who were making legal claims or contemplating legal claims against King\u2019s.\n\nOn April 26, 2023, Wagners filed a Notice of Action and Statement of Claim against King\u2019s, Dalhousie University, The Diocesan Synod of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, and the Estate of <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wagners.co\/blog\/press-release-march-15-2023-kings-culpable-for-dr-wayne-hankeys-sexual-misconduct\/\" title=\"PRESS RELEASE \u2013 March 15, 2023 \u2013 King\u2019s Culpable for Dr. Wayne Hankey\u2019s \u00a0Sexual Misconduct\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"297\">Wayne Hankey<\/a>\n\n<u>\u00a0<\/u>\n\n\u201cWe hope that King\u2019s will fulfill their obligations as set out in the Rubin report and continue to take a survivor focused approach. Traditional litigation often re-victimizes survivors of sexual abuse, and it is not a step that we take lightly.
