Mr. Hooper is the lead lawyer in Wagners\u2019 medical negligence practice group, which comprises three full-time lawyers dedicated to representing patients harmed by medical negligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are pleased to have Nick Hooper join us in a leadership role,\u201d says Wagners\u2019 founder, Raymond Wagner. \u201cHe has been leading our team of dedicated medical malpractice <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wagners.co\/blog\/wrongful-death-damages-in-nova-scotia\/\" title=\"Wrongful Death Damages in Nova Scotia\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"963281\">lawyers<\/a> and staff for six years \u2013 an important area that the firm has been engaged in for over 30 years. Medical negligence litigation often presents significant challenges, and success for clients depends on the ability to navigate those with precision. Mr. Hooper has been particularly adept at advancing meritorious cases with his technical legal abilities and his understanding of the underlying subject matter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, Mr. Hooper joined <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wagners.co\/tobacco-claims\/\" title=\"Tobacco Claims\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"963282\">Wagners<\/a> in 2018. Since that time, he has worked primarily in the area of medical negligence and has appeared before the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, the New Brunswick Court of King\u2019s Bench, and the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island. He holds JD and LL.M. degrees from the Schulich School of Law, where he received numerous academic awards and both a full scholarship and a prestigious fellowship for his graduate studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am grateful for the opportunity to join the partnership at Wagners and continue to work alongside colleagues I respect, who have supported my career since I began articling with the firm,\u201d says Mr. Hooper. \u201cIt is a privilege to work with dedicated lawyers and staff in an environment that truly prioritizes high-quality legal work in service of our clients.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to his full-time work at Wagners, Mr. Hooper is also an Assistant Professor at the Schulich School of Law. His published scholarship has appeared in various peer-reviewed publications, including the <em>Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence<\/em>, <em>Advocates\u2019 Quarterly<\/em>, the <em>Dalhousie Law Journal<\/em>, the <em>Canadian Class Action Review<\/em>, and the <em>Canadian Journal of Administrative Law and Practice<\/em>.
