The hearing of the motion to approve the Settlement Agreement is on\u00a0<b>June 22, 2026<\/b>. On that same date, the Court will also decide on a separate motion whether to approve the payment of the legal fee and reimbursement of expenses to Class Counsel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">At the settlement approval hearing, the Court must decide that the settlement is fair, reasonable, and in the best interests of Class Members. If the Court approves the settlement at the hearing on June 22, 2026, all passengers who were on board Air Canada Flight AC624 when it crashed on March 29, 2015, excluding on<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\">\u2011<\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\">duty members of the flight crew and anyone who validly opted out of the class action (the \u201cClass Members\u201d) will be eligible to receive a portion of the Settlement Amount.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-CA\">The Plaintiffs filed this class action against Air Canada, Airbus S.A.S., Nav Canada, Halifax International Airport Authority (\u201cHIAA\u201d), the Attorney General of Canada, John Doe #1 and John Doe #2 (together, the \u201cDefendants\u201d) regarding Air Canada Flight AC624, which crashed while attempting to land at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport on March 29, 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wagners and Camp Fiorante Matthews Mogerman, a law firm in Vancouver, British Columbia, and MacGillivray Injury and Insurance Law, a law firm in Halifax, Nova Scotia, are carrying a class action against Air Canada, NAV Canada, Transport Canada, the Halifax International Airport Authority and Airbus following the crash of Air Canada Flight 624 on March 29, 2015 on its landing approach at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
