The Supreme Court of Nova Scotia has approved the settlement of this class action. A copy of the Settlement Agreement and Settlement Approval Order are available in PDF in the Documents section.<\/p>\n
The Settlement will become effective in early August, 2026. Then, CFM Lawyers LLP, as the Court-appointed Administrator, will circulate the Court-approved Settlement Approval Notice. They will also provide each class member with a summary of their valuation for Individual Compensation.<\/p>\n
Class Members do not need to submit a claim form to receive compensation. However, before payment can be issued, the Administrator will require proof of identity, such as a copy of government-issued photo identification, a passport, or another acceptable form of identification.<\/p>\n
At this stage, payments are expected to be issued in the fall of 2026.<\/p>\n
