At approximately 6 p.m. at the intersection of Carver and Portland streets, a vehicle that was westbound on Portland Street was struck by another southbound vehicle that reportedly failed to stop. The driver of the southbound vehicle then allegedly fled the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Halifax Regional Police were called to the scene, and paramedics transported the driver from the overturned car over to the hospital. She is a 50-year-old woman and it was reported that she is expected to survive the injuries she incurred in the accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police are currently searching for the vehicle that fled the scene and its driver. It could be a light-coloured or white Pontiac Grand Am. The car was last seen heading westbound on Portland Street. According to police, it is likely that the car sustained front-end damage during the crash. They are also asking that anyone who has any information regarding the accident contact the Halifax Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When any individual is injured in a <a href=\"https:\/\/wagners.co\/car-accidents\/\">car accident<\/a>, he or she could be dealing with a great deal of pain, medical bills, physical therapy expenses and lost income.
