According to an RCMP report, the accident occurred when the woman's vehicle was rear-ended and pushed into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer on Highway 105. Following the <a href=\"https:\/\/wagners.co\/car-accidents\/\">car accident<\/a>, a section of highway near the crash scene was shut down in each direction while police investigated.\n\nRCMP officers reported to the accident scene near Baddeck around 2 p.m. A police representative later confirmed that a 45-year-old Middle River woman who had been travelling in a sedan was struck from behind by a pickup truck while attempting to complete a left-hand turn. Her vehicle then collided with a tractor-trailer that had been travelling in the opposite lane.\n\nThe woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the pickup truck driver was treated at the scene for unspecified injuries. There were no reported injuries suffered by the driver of the tractor-trailer. It is unclear if the accident is expected to result in any criminal charges being filed.\n\nAn individual who has been injured in a car accident through no fault of their own may seek financial compensation by filing a personal injury complaint.
