<\/div>\nA crash on Highway 101 near Falmouth that resulted in one fatality has raised demands for jersey barriers on this section of the road. The car accident<\/a> was one of several that have taken place at that particular spot between Exits 7 and 8. The highway is scheduled to be twinned, but the start date for that project has not yet been announced.\n\nThe victim, a 56-year-old man from Kentville, died when his car hit a tractor-trailer head-on. He was alone in the vehicle at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver suffered no injuries. The Tory MLA for the region has stated that the area is a site for numerous car accidents and fatalities, and he is demanding that safety measures be put in place to avoid future tragedies.\n\nLast year, a 6-year-old boy was killed when the minivan in which he was riding was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer as the van stopped for construction work on the highway. Three other people were also injured in that crash. The truck driver was charged with dangerous driving causing death and bodily harm in that case.\n\nA personal injury lawyer<\/a> may represent victims of a car accident in their attempts to recover compensation.
