Wagners Partnership Announcement January 26, 2022

It is with great pleasure that Wagners announces the appointment of five new partners, effective January 1, 2022: Loreatha Boehner, Kate Boyle, Madeleine Carter, Lyndsay Jardine and Lisa Wagner.

This group of accomplished, talented, and devoted advocates join Raymond F. Wagner, Q.C. as partners for the first time in the firm’s forty year history, lending their expertise to Wagners’ Medical Malpractice, Class Action and Motor Vehicle practice groups.

Loreatha Boehner | Partner

Originally from Mahone Bay, Loreatha joined Wagners in 2012. She completed her articles in the area of insurance defence and spent a year doing general litigation before she made the decision to focus exclusively on assisting victims of negligence.

For the past decade Loreatha has dedicated her career to helping those suffering serious injuries. Her practice areas include car accident injuries, municipal/premise liability, slip and fall injuries, dog bites, sexual assaults, and insurance denials. She regularly represents clients throughout the litigation process including through discovery examinations, negotiations, mediations, and trials.

Kate Boyle | Partner

Kate practices in the area of class actions. She represents plaintiffs in provincial and national class actions involving pharmaceuticals, product liability, defective medical devices, toxic substances, contaminated medical marijuana, sexual misconduct and discrimination, institutional abuse, Crown liability and environmental contamination and catastrophes.

Kate has also acted as counsel to seriously injured victims of medical negligence across the Maritimes. She has birth trauma jury trial experience before the Nova Scotia Supreme Court and has successfully represented clients before the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal.

Maddy Carter | Partner

Maddy’s practice involves representing plaintiffs in class actions involving institutional abuse, environmental issues, pharmaceutical and product liability, Crown liability, privacy breaches, and a variety of other systemic issues.

Maddy is the recipient of the 2021 Women in Law Award for the category of Canadian personal injury lawyer, awarded by Lawyer Monthly Magazine. Maddy was named a Litigator to Watch in the field of class actions by the 2022 Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and was named as a 2021 Lexpert® Rising Star, celebrating Canada’s leading lawyers under 40.

Lyndsay Jardine

After spending several years in a general litigation practice, Lyndsay decided to specialize, joining Wagners in 2016 with a primary focus on personal injury litigation, providing assistance with car accident injures, municipal/premises liability, slip and fall injuries and product liability matters.  Over time, Lyndsay’s practice has grown to include assisting victims of medical and dental malpractice as well. Lyndsay regularly represents her clients through complex, multi-party litigation matters including representation through negotiation, mediation and trial.  Lyndsay has represented her clients’ interests before various administrative boards and tribunals, in the Court of Queen’s Bench of New Brunswick, the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island, and at all levels of court in Nova Scotia.

Lisa Wagner

Lisa Wagner | Partner

Lisa began her legal career in Vancouver working for a large insurance defence firm. After being called to the bar in British Columbia in 2013, she made the decision to move home and advocate for victims of negligence in Nova Scotia. Her practice is exclusively personal injury, specializing in automobile accidents and slip and fall cases. Lisa represents clients in Nova Scotia and throughout the Atlantic provinces.
