A hearing of the Plaintiff’s certification motion has been scheduled in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. It will take place on November 12 and 13, 2025 commencing at 9:30 a.m. each day at the Law Courts Building, located at 1815 Upper Water Street in Halifax.
If the Plaintiff’s proposed class proceeding is certified, that means it can proceed to a trial. It is at the trial where the merits of the allegations will be decided by a judge. The certification motion is a procedural step, not the trial.
We will continue to provide you with further updates.
A proposed class proceeding commenced in the Nova Scotia Supreme Court on May 7, 2024. See the Documents section to review the Notice of Action and Statement of Claim.
