Alicia is a trial lawyer who specializes in sexual abuse cases and is committed to helping victims when they seek justice.
Prior to joining Wagners, she spent 15 years as a prosecutor. She has run hundreds of trials for all types of criminal offences but is known nationally for her skill in handling complex sexual violence prosecutions. She has also represented complainants in criminal cases, defending their personal dignity and privacy interests. She has worked with victims from all walks of life and takes great pride in walking alongside them as they hold their abusers to account.
Alicia teaches at the Schulich School of Law, and has taught in the Faculty of Law at the University of New Brunswick. She has been called to the Bar in Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan. She was awarded the Muriel Duckworth Award upon her convocation from Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law.
When not working with victims, Alicia volunteers as a Board Member with Avalon Sexual Assault Centre and in the English Language Learning program at Halifax Public Libraries. In her spare time, she loves to read, row, and go to the beach with her friends and family.
