Continuing Treatment During The Covid-19 Pandemic

Wagners is committed providing quality and timely service during these uncertain times. While our physical offices may be closed, we are all working remotely from home and will continue to do so on behalf of our clients.

Many of our clients rely on regular visits with their family doctor, and have been referred to physiotherapy, psychological counselling and other forms of treatment to assist in the ongoing rehabilitation and recovery from their accident related injuries. Your recovery and treatment are of the utmost importance. If you are concerned about whether or not you will be able to continue with treatment, we encourage you to contact your providers directly for the most up to date information and protocols.  Many are continuing to provide services by phone or videolink in an effort to provide ongoing care through this challenging period.

Doctors, physiotherapists, and psychologists are all using technology to provide virtual treatment services to patients. Telehealth and other virtual services can be accessed by using a microphone and camera over laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone.

Some Nova Scotia treatment providers have already begun to implement telehealth practices to better serve their clients.  Be sure to contact your treatment provider to find out if they are on this growing list

Will My Insurance Policy or Section B Benefits Cover Telehealth Treatments?

Many insurance companies are adapting to Covid-19 by broadening their policies to cover certain virtual treatments. It is important to contact your insurance provider to directly to confirm what their policy is regarding virtual treatments prior to booking your appointment.

Will Stopping Treatment Negatively Affect My Case?

If you have been injured due to the negligence of another, it is imperative that you continue your treatment if possible. This not only helps your legal case, but more importantly ensures that you are taking steps in your recovery for your own personal health.

If you are a current client, Wagners is here to answer any questions you may have regarding how Covid-19 may affect your personal injury claim. Please do not hesitate to call, email or fax us with any questions or concerns you may have.

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident, slip and fall, through medical negligence, or have a class actions inquiry, we are here to help.  Please contact us at 902-425-7330 or 1-800-465-8794 or by clicking here
