Brown & Dee v. General Motors of Canada et al

Nova Scotia Supreme Court File: Hfx No. 427140 

Wagners commenced a proposed class action on behalf of individuals who owned a General Motors manufactured vehicle with a defective ignition switch following several safety recalls. The action was filed on May 9, 2014 in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia in Halifax.

Vehicles affected by the ignition switch problems include:

CHEVROLET HHR 2006-2011
PONTIAC G5 2007-2010
PONTIAC SOLSTICE 2006-2010
PONTIAC PURSUIT 2005-2006
SATURN ION 2003-2007
SATURN SKY 2007-2009

Updates & Latest Developments

We have been advised by class counsel in Ontario that they have filed their motion record seeking certification of the proceeding as a class action with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. At this time the Court has yet to schedule dates for the certification motion.
