Wagners commenced a proposed class action on behalf of individuals who owned a General Motors manufactured vehicle with a defective ignition switch following several safety recalls. The action was filed on May 9, 2014 in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia in Halifax.

There is a national class action being actively by Rochon Genova, a law firm in Toronto, regarding the GM ignition switch. We have been advised by class counsel in Ontario that they have filed their motion record seeking certification of the proceeding as a class action with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. At this time the Court has yet to schedule dates for the certification motion.
